J Rocc Plays New Madvillain

I came across this on The Fader's blog and just got mad excited. Outside of the Danger Mouse assisted "Dangerdoom", my favorite project by Doom is his Madvillain project alongside Madlib.

Huck/Little White Lies Split Cover Illustration

Magculture turns us onto the news of Huck and Little White Lies split cover. The magazines, which are both published by The Church of London, have teamed up to celebrate Spike Jonze’s much hyped new film release. Whilst Spike Jonze’s new film has captured the zeitgeist (or at least the trendsetter zeitgeist).

Gucci’s resort collection is now available for purchase, ladies and gentlemen. I know it's getting closer and closer to winter, but it's time to stock up now so shit won't be sold out when it's time to rock all the Gucci that you've got.

Also, for you iPhone owners, Gucci recently released it's iPhone application.

Gucci recently announced the Gucci iApp for iPhone and iPod touch, which is now available from the App Store. The app synthesizes the worlds of fashion, technology and music offering Gucci enthusiasts access to exclusive Gucci products, unique playlists, videos, fashion shows, news, events, latest collections, store listings and the ability to mix their own music. The rich content on the app was developed specifically with the profile of the Gucci loyalist in mind and delivers a new way to experience the varied world of the Gucci lifestyle. The launch of the Gucci App has been timed to coincide with the itinerant GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY project, a travelling sneaker store that opens on October 24th at 43 Crosby Street in New York, before moving to Miami on December 1st, and then to London and Tokyo in Spring 2010.

Uniqlo Patchwork Flannel Check Shirt

Here’s another choice pick from Uniqlo. They’ve been the style bloggers secret weapon for eons now – we can’t think of any other high street brand who get namchecked in Monocle and has their own Supertalk thread – and pieces like this prove why they’ve retained that status. Patchwork shirts have a definite marmite effect on people; you either love it, hate it or hate that you love it.

I personally love these shirts and at the price of £14.99, I don't see why anybody would pass up the deal. I just gotta cop mine before they sell out. Since I'm in Chicago, I gotta go online to get me one.

"B-Side" by Ken&Dana: Autumn/Winter’09 Accessories

Maybe I think the necklaces and things are nice. Maybe I just really like the model. Either way these pics are doing it for me. More online at their site.

J. Cole: "World Is Empty"

By now, the rest of the world should have caught up with J. Cole (either from listening to him spit on "BP3" or from knowing of him as the 1st signee to Jay Z's RocNation). Well this is my favorite track off oh his 2nd mixtape, "The Warm Up", his follow=up to the acclaimed "Come Up" mixtape.

This cat is iTunes worthy by all means. For now, I put his rookie skills somewhere between when I first heard mixtape Lupe and early Drake (circa, 2007). I can't wait to see what dude has in store in the future. I just hope his commercial growth won't inspire me to stop being as big of a fan- like I usually do when rappers get too mainstream.

Btw, if anybody knows the track he sampled, please let me know so I can get the original.
