Lanvin Patchwork Work Trainer

I'm DEFINITELY a huge fan of these.... All black EVERYTHING!! LOL

Real talk though, these are Lanvin, so they're not cheap as it is.... then on top of that, they've got one of he best designs I've seen for this sort of sneaker in a while... They're kinda dressy/casual.




The sneaker comes in a black/navy suede colorway with patchwork pattern on the upper. The toe box and heel are covered in black patent leather. Yet another solid release from the French brand, you can purchase it now from Browns.

Kid Cudi & Keri Hilson On The Cover of the Next Complex Magazine

Tey went HARD for it's 5th Annual "Style & Design" Issue.

Kid Cudi's artist was graf artist Augor. The video segment was ill as fuck and I can't wait for the issue to drop.

I think Keri's GORGEOUS, but I'm not fully sold on her versatility (style, music, and beauty) yet. She's kind of one-dimensional to me.... But on the other hand, my boy SoMe did the artwork for her spread (Noted for his work on Kanye's "Good Life", Justice's "D.A.N.C.E.", and Kid Cudi's "Day'N'Nite" among others)

I kinda wish it was an English translation being shown in America but either way my jaw DROPPED when I saw this trailer and I will DEFINITELY be seeing this flick. I'm expecting it to be as good as "The Devil Wears Prada" (which was PHENOMENAL to say the least)

Now this is a collaboration that totally makes sense to us. Both Cassette Playa and Rockers NYC have been doing their thing for years, setting themselves clearly apart from everything else out there. Also both are known for bold and colorful graphic t-shirts and therefore seeing them work together on a series of tees seems natural. The t-shirts will be released very soon at colette and other premium retailers.

Club Coke 09 (Ft. Justice and So Me)

Everyone’s favorite leather clad, French House duo Justice have hooked up with mega brand Coca Cola to put a fresh, hip spin on a classic. The crew have redesigned and remixed the Coca Cola bottle and now it’s basically a visual representation of the pulsating sound of the group. In addition to the revision of the bottle, there is now an official Coca Cola commercial directed by “D.A.N.C.E” video director and Ed Banger creative director So Me. The add utilizes the same graphics and colorful animation that was used on the critically acclaimed video.

ALIFE and Reebok have been the source of a number of collaborations as the two come together once again in the release of a pack of women’s sneakers featuring the Pro Legacy Lux and Freestyle Hi. The Pro Legacy Lux and its slightly awkward and chunky profile includes a luxurious black leather upper and red sole. The Freestyle Hi is done up a bold full-on red colorway. Both are available now at colette.

Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld has directed a high-budget 10-minute short film to pay homage to French fashion pioneer Coco Chanel. This glamorous silent film has premiered last week in Paris at the Le Ranelagh theater. Edita Vilkeviciute will portray the young Coco from 1913, when the legendary designer first set up shop. Along with Vilkeviciute, the film will feature model Brad Koenig, Lady Amanda Harlech and the actual workers from the Chanel atelier used as actors to keep the authenticity to the visuals. The mini-film was shot in two days outside of a Paris movie studio.

Tom Sachs Exhibition at The Eiffel Tower Paris

Making more sense now is the Tom Sachs colette t-shirt previewed yesterday, as today we get a look at some images of Sach’s exhibition outside of The Eiffel Tower in Paris. Three of his over-sized pieces are showcased, all replicating crying kitty cats: Hello Kitty, Miffy, and My Melody. The works will be on display until November 2nd, 2008 so if your in Paris be sure to stop by and grab one of his shirts while your at it

Revolver 10 Year Anniversary Party Recap

Taking place October 9th, Japanese label Revolver celebrated their 10th anniversary in the game. With Parisian personalities Ed Banger art director So-Me and La MJC on hand, the event featured performances by Kiri of Revolver, Miss Yulia, Busy P & So-Me (Ed Banger), Jean Nipon, the Dex Pistols, and Kavinsky Bobmo. Definitely a night to remember. Images of the event can be seen after the jump!

Karl Lagerfeld x Le Petit Larousse 2009 Edition

Having already showcased the likes of Moebius and Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld was the natural choice to be featured in the 2009 edition of the Le Petit Larousse. The French reference book consists of a dictionary featuring common words and encyclopedia featuring proper nouns. Packaged in a elegant black box, the book pairs Lagerfeld’s portrait with a facsimile signature along the front. Le Petit Larousse is expected to release November 4th, 2008.
