By now, the rest of the world should have caught up with J. Cole (either from listening to him spit on "BP3" or from knowing of him as the 1st signee to Jay Z's RocNation). Well this is my favorite track off oh his 2nd mixtape, "The Warm Up", his follow=up to the acclaimed "Come Up" mixtape.

This cat is iTunes worthy by all means. For now, I put his rookie skills somewhere between when I first heard mixtape Lupe and early Drake (circa, 2007). I can't wait to see what dude has in store in the future. I just hope his commercial growth won't inspire me to stop being as big of a fan- like I usually do when rappers get too mainstream.

Btw, if anybody knows the track he sampled, please let me know so I can get the original.

Yeah... I'm back!! I apologize for not posting for the past few days.... I recently moved to Chicago and I've been handling business with school and my crib.... I'll be back next week full speed ahead. But here's a little something to hold you all over!!





This seemed like a dream collaboration but maybe it was too much of a laidback instrumental for them to spazz out on. I still like the track but I feel as if there was FAR more potential to be reached on the track.

In light of the HUGE positive reception and success that Drake has had from the original song, I actually like this version better on account that "Best I Ever Had" was actually one of my LEAST favorite tracks on "So Far Gone" (nothing personal, just not my style of hip-hop love song)...

On top of that, Trey reveals breaking news about his album's release inside the track... Give it a listen!!!

I jacked the link from 2DopeBoyz but either way I still delivered it to you LOL.... This shit is pretty damn fly. I actually like this better than the original version. And for some reason, this track almost solidifies how close Drake's flow is to Kanye's for me.

But idk.... To each his own, I feel the same way about Drake as I do Kanye: As much of a BIG fan I am of the both of them, I prefer the old to the new.

(P.S.: Shout out to the producer for the Dream sample of "Fancy" on the hook. That track is equally bananas!!)
